One of my favorite self paradoxes is my love of the ways in which people over-customize their surroundings, caring little about the design of the raw architecture that merely acts as backdrop to the lives they animate with objects and paintings and color. The Selby takes photos of creative people in their homes and studios, highlighting the objects they choose to surround themselves with.
